Blog 1: Privilege and Power Alan Johnson
Reflection In chapter 2 of "Privilege and Power" on page 8, there is a long passage about women and their safety when they are alone. I'm unsure when this book was written but this is still an ongoing concern for women now. I can relate to this because when I had a night class last semester I would leave and it would be dark and I was a little uneasy walking alone to my car. Besides school I rarely ever went places alone because you just never know what could happen. This also made me realize that in this instance is it not a privilege to be a women. The book talks also about the difference between races and how they are treated. In this passage of the book it did talk about how it didn't matter what race you are, it was still a threat to women and their safety.
